What you’ll be doing with us

You’ll be part of the team building and maintaining our cloud infrastructure, which supports our platform providing stores for thousands of independent sellers world wide. We use modern cloud technologies and follow DevOps practices to enable our teams to build and deliver quality solutions rapidly.

You’ll need to be able to manage multiple work streams and be ready to jump in to help our development teams diagnose issues in production. We use many modern technologies in our stack including AWS, RDS, Datadog, CircleCI, K8s, Cloudflare, Lambda, Terraform, Ansible; We are constantly innovating and skilled DevOps Engineers are key to our success.

What we are looking for from you:

  • Minimum 2 years experience as a DevOps engineer, Cloud engineer or SRE role
  • Proven experience with Terraform and Ansible
  • At Least 2 years of experience building solutions on AWS
  • Any software development experience in languages such as Go, Python, Ruby or NodeJS is highly desirable
  • Detailed knowledge of Containerisation is essential, good knowledge of container orchestration platforms such as K8s (incl. running EKS/K3S/AKS) is necessary
  • Any experience with security incident and event management, analysis and threat hunting would be desirable
  • Knowledge of CDN solutions including WAF and Bot Protection would be beneficial
  • Experience with root cause analysis would be useful;Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines is vital
  • Any knowledge of large scale Database implementation is highly desirable;Any experience with Datalakes would be beneficial.

What you will be doing with us:

As a Full stack Engineer at Tshirtsa you will be working in a cross functional software engineering team that’s aim is to improve the development of new features, e-commerce optimisation and launching into new internal markets alongside re-architecting our current platform. You will be contributing to the update and creation of our technical documentation guidelines.

Our engineers currently work in teams of 4 – 8 people and deliver software in an agile environment using the scrum methodology in 2 week sprints.

We are a technology led customer centric product company, our platform has enabled us to reach the stage of our growth and evolution as a business, however, we are continuing to grow our tech stack and the experience we need for this role is:

What we are looking for from you:

  • HTML, CSS, Javascript
  • Node.js
  • React
  • Redux or other state management libraries
  • Experience writing unit test
  • Styles components
  • Next.js (bonus points for this)
  • SSR (or at least to have an understanding of the concept)
  • Working with microservices and RESTful APIs would be an advantage
  • Ideally with a Degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent

About the role:

We are looking for an experienced design leader to join our maturing product team and lead the UX Design function at Tshirtsa. Responsibilities include organising, growing and mentoring the UX chapter – consisting of five UX and UI Designers – and to be the driving force within the Product team for research-driven UX and user-centred design practises.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the UX discipline, strong design instincts, proven UI design experience, a creative approach to usability studies and feedback, as well as an entrepreneurial and confident attitude.

Coach your team to become world experts in their ability to:

  • Create intuitive and elegant UX solutions to the problems raised by our users and our teams
  • Build new interfaces for the web and mobile, from the wireframe to final designs
  • Become a domain expert in the print-on-demand space and balance the needs of the seller users with those of their buyers
  • Prepare and perform usability tests with these different user groups, respectively, to gather direct feedback
  • Always challenge existing interfaces to establish Tshirtsa as an inspiring, state of the art, world class product

What you’ll do with us:

  • Attract, inspire, mentor and manage a team of designers. This requires setting clear goals, managing the project load and allocating people accordingly, ensuring deadlines are met, and setting up team members for overall success
  • Ensure each team has the necessary UX capacity to facilitate a dual-track product development programme
  • Analyse and synthesise data and research results into actionable recommendations that inform the product strategy
  • Passionately advocate for the user in order to ensure that the product design strategy is aligned to user needs and expectations
  • Develop and maintain a UX roadmap to guide designers, product management and tech teams in planning for and implementing the vision
    Evangelise system-thinking in UI design and management the evolution of the universal design system
  • Enable collaboration and knowledge sharing within the Design chapter by fostering working relationships
  • Encourage proactive design practise by empowering designers to take responsibility for their own research and offer guidance in their product design direction
  • Commit to creating elegantly simple user experiences from otherwise complex workflows with a practised eye for effective design
  • Take the time to understand not just the execution side of UX, but also the business aspects of the products we build
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Product Management to create innovative experiences across the products, leveraging your passion for data-centricity, craft, and high-quality design.
  • Be responsible for hiring and guiding the careers of your team members, working closely with each of them to help them realise their full potential.
    Monitor and address the accumulation of UX debt and the design language inconsistencies.

What we look for from you:

  • 5+ years of experience leading multidisciplinary design teams at user-focused technology, media, or enterprise companies
  • Demonstrable success in creating, launching, scaling, and maintaining software products
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to quickly build rapport and establish credibility, thrives in collaborative work
  • Strong practical knowledge of user-centered design methodologies and usability principles
  • An understanding of when and why to apply quantitative and qualitative user research to ensure the best product and design decisions are being made.
  • Extremely strong communication skills and demonstrated success presenting in a clear and compelling manner to cross-functional stakeholders.
  • A proven track record of hiring diverse teams, developing talent, and leading with positivity and inspiration.
